Job Description Exciting Opportunity for Med Surg Acute Care CNA!
Job Description:
- Position: Med Surg Acute Care CNA
- Location: Alaska
- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) or 3x12 Night Shift
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Choose between 26 or 13 weeks
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in acute care
- First Timers Accepted: Yes!
Requirements:
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Active AK CNA License
- BLS Certification
- AK Food Handler's Card
- Skills Necessary:
- Acute Care Experience
- Ability to assist with ambulation, feeding, turning, and repositioning patients
- Proficient in vital sign monitoring (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)
- Knowledge of infection control (PPE, isolation precautions)
- On-Call: No on-call required
- Floating: Yes, willing to float within acute care, inpatient, swing bed, and observation units
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must reside at least 50 miles from the facility)
Contract Details:
- Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift)
- RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 2 weeks considered for a 26-week contract; preference for availability during holidays.
- Transportation: Free parking and shuttle service provided to and from Anchorage.
